  • Distracted Driver– The driver lifted foot off Brake-Closed Head Injury-Uninsured Motorist-Client is a 17 year old man that sustained a closed head injury after his car hit a tree. Client was forced to swerve in order to avoid a collision with a car that ran a stop sign after the driver removed her foot from the brake to attend to children in the back seat. Client was knocked unconscious for over an hour after the accident. He suffered an brain adema and has residual effects of a closed head injury. The at fault driver was uninsured.
  • Semi-Truck runs red light- Client is a 55 year old man that was seriously injured when a semi-truck hauling milk disregarded a red light at a busy city intersection. The semi struck the driver’s side of the vehicle. The impact caused the drive’rs door to be pushed into his left side fracturing 9 ribs and causing a collapsed lung. The semi driver admitted to the police he ran the red light.
  • 9 year old injured on giant swing collapse/ Federal Tort Claims Act– Client sustained facial and forehead lacerations when the cables to a giant tire swing broke while children were riding on it. The tire swing was a sculpture that was originally installed in 1977. The Swing was located on Federal Property. The maintenance of the swing was under the authority of the Federal General Services Administration. Thus, the claim can only be made under The Federal Tort Claims Act.
  • Rear End Collision/Cell Phone distracted Driver– The plaintiff is a 37 year old women that was rear ended while stopped at stoplight. The force of the collision caused her rear end the car in front of her. The driver of the at fault vehicle stated she dropped her cell phone on the floor and bent over to pick it up causing her to lose sight of the roadway. Client was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Client was diagnosed with a closed head injury. She now suffers confusion, headache and memory difficulty.
  • Dog Bite Unrestrained Police Dog- Client is a 60 year old registered nurse that was attacked by a German Shepherd on arrival at a party held by an off duty police officer. The dog was allowed to freely roam a party of strangers at the officers home. In an unprovoked attack the dog lunged at her and took a large 4 x 8cm chuck of her skin with the bite. The victim was required to under go skin grafting at the burn clinic.

She was traveling thru the cross walk when a vehicle made a left hand turn and failed to observe her bicycle and struck her forcing her violently to the roadway. The male driver of the vehicle stopped momentarily acknowledging the situation but abruptly left the scene of the accident. The client was taken to the hospital with severe left shoulder pain. She was later given an MRI scan that revealed a complete tear of the tendon in her left shoulder. She required shoulder surgery as a result of the accident. The clients claim was submitted under their auto insurance for Uninsured Motorists Coverage as a result of the at fault motor vehicle fleeing the scene.
  • Rear end collision/ Chain reaction– Client is a 61 year old woman that that sustained a mild traumatic brain injury after she was struck from behind while stopped at a stop light. The accident was caused by a distracted driver that was traveling at a high rate of speed and unable to stop crashing into the client and forcing her vehicle to strike the car in front of her. The air bag was deployed and the client was knocked unconscious in the accident. She was later diagnosed with a mild closed head injury resulting in memory problems, dizziness and vertigo requiring extensive rehabilitation.
  • Auto Rollover/ Too fast for conditions– Client was rear seat passenger who sustained serious injuries after the vehicle he was in hit a guard rail and flipped landing in the middle of the road. The driver was traveling too fast for conditions and spun out after his vehicle traveled over an ice covered roadway. Client, a 25 year old man, sustained a subdural hematoma and brain injury. He went home after the crash and later developed severe headaches and dizziness. Subsequently he went to the emergency room. He required emergency surgery by drilling holes in his skull to relieve pressure in his brain.
  • Rear end Collision/ Pickup Truck pulling Trailer– Client is a 62 year old woman, that sustained neck and back injuries after her vehicle was stopped while the police were directing traffic to investigate an earlier collision. The client was rear ended by a pickup truck hauling a trailer. The driver of the truck lost control of his vehicle and was unable to stop. The force of the impact pushed the client’s vehicle into the vehicle in front of her. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance and is now being treated at a pain clinic for intolerable neck and left arm pain.
  • Semi Truck/ Failure to Yield / Blind Spot– Client is a 27 year old man who sustained serious back and neck injuries after a semi truck failed to yield and made a right turn in front of his passenger car. Client’s vehicle was in the right hand lane at a controlled intersection when the semi pulled beside his vehicle. Although Semi driver claims to have looked in his rear view mirror, he did not see client’s vehicle. Client’s vehicle was in his blind spot and much shorter than the semi-truck. Semi driver made a right turn crashing into client’s vehicle. Client sustained 2 herniated discs in his neck as a result of semi driver’s negligence.
  • High Speed Chase leading to Crash– Client is a 22 year old man who sustained multiple serious injuries including a concussion, six left rib fractures, and a punctured lung, after being broad sided by a minivan that ran a red light. At the time of the crash, the 23 year old operator of the minivan was involved in a high speed chase with the police. The operator of the minivan was later charged with operating while intoxicated and fleeing and eluding police. The client’s claim was made under his own insurance policy covering uninsured motorist. It was revealed the driver did not have permission to operate the minivan.
  • Head on Collision– Client is a 38 year old female who sustained a Fractured right leg, Fractured right arm, contusions to the forehead and other injuries, after a vehicle crossed the center line and hit her head-on. The at fault vehicle was traveling too fast for conditions on a wet pavement when she lost control of her vehicle and started to fish-tail causing her to cross the medium.
  • Semi/ tractor trailer caused rear-end collision with truck pulling flat bed– Clients sustained multiple injuries when their truck, while pulling a loaded flat bed, was struck in the rear by a Semi/ tractor trailer. The impact caused the truck and flat bed to rotate counter clockwise and dislodge their load onto the highway. Clients truck continued across left lane and struck the guard rail and came to rest facing the opposite direction.

The Police Report indicated that the driver of the at fault vehicle was intoxicated at the time of the collision with .30 BAC .
